Best Clubs in Seoul

Are you ready to party?

After talking about what to eat and how was my experience in Seoul it’s time to talk about the real deal: where to party in Seoul? Seoul is full of clubs that offer different atmospheres and different genre of music. Korean night life is extremely active and young adult can enjoy it to the fullest. Therefore let’s start with my 5 favorite clubs in Seoul:

The Henz Club:
address: 86-22 Sangsu-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul,
My favorite club ever, I still dream about going there again. In this club you’re going to find the best hip-hop music both Korean and Western, therefore if you are a Hip-hop fan you’re going to find your cup of tea. The club is edgy with red lights and scented fog, and smoking is NOT allowed inside ( so you’re not going to finish the night smelling like a smoked salmon). People are extremely fashionable but there is no dress code for it so you can be pretty chill. Moreover, almost every weekend the club hosts famous singers (mostly Korean rapper) that perform during the night.
Another good point (mostly for females) guys here are not too pushy and basically everyone minds their own business, therefore if you want to spend a chill night with your friends without being bothered that’s the best place.

Cakeshop:
address: 134 Itaewon-ro, Itaewon 1(il)-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul,
Located in Itaewon, one of the most international parts of Seoul, the Cakeshop is considered as one of the most popular hip-hop club. The club is really famous but at the same time quite small, since it is in a basement, therefore I suggest you go there by 10 pm in order to get int (The first time that I went there I couldn’t enter since I arrived too late). The clubs often host international DJ and Artist therefore you’re not going to find only Korean songs. They also have really good drinks therefor I suggest also to stop by the bar (also the entrance a free-drink is included in the entrance fee). The club is often visited by different celebrities so you can also spot some of your favorite artists chilling there.

Answer:
address: Apgujeong-ro 79-gil, Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul,
If you prefer EDM music the “Answer” is what you’re looking for. The club is placed in Gangnam, one of the wealthiest part of Seoul, therefore you need to choose a good outfit since the dress code is really strict (that means no jeans or any sportswear). You are going to find a bunch of really good looking people and all of them well-dressed, this place is also popular among models. The club is quite big since there are two floors. Do NOT forget to bring your passport (even though you have the local ID) since foreigners are allowed just with it. They offer high-quality drinks but be aware of the price, since it’s situated in a rich area the prices are higher than in other clubs.

Mike’s Cabin Hongdae:
address: 마포구 서교동 358-110, 04040 Seoul, Korea
If you like western classic this is going to be your jam. Even though this club is less fancy and stylish than the other threes it offers a friendly and young atmosphere. Since the club is in Hongdae, that’s a famous hangout-spot for University student the entrance fee and drinks are cheap, perfect if you want to save money. In this club hang-out a lot of foreigners therefore is perfect for knowing people even though you cannot speak Korean.

NB2 Hongdae:
address: 79 Wausan-ro, Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul,
Finally my least favorite club ( I have to be honest). Since the club is managed by a famous Korean entertainment company the club promotes mostly K-pop songs and even some Korean hip-hop artist. The club is spacious and the entrance fee is low. Moreover the dress code is not strict, mostly for foreigners (I entered with sweatpants once). The alcohol is cheap but pretty basic. The main problems are 1) There are always too many people 2) people that keep groping you sometimes even without your consent. I suggest you to go with a huge group of friends and be-aware mostly if you are a girls-only group.

And that’s the list of my favorite Korean clubs. If you want to know more about Korean’s night life and their clubs habits I am thinking about writing another post about it, let me know if you can be interested.

Salut my dearest
